Who we are

ZAKLAD(“we”, “us”, “our”) is a bespoke furniture business that showcases and arranges made-to-order pieces handcrafted in Poland and delivered to homes across the UK. We are the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy.

What personal data we collect

Depending on how you use our site, we may collect the following information:

  • Enquiry details, your name, email address, phone number, and the details of your project (descriptions, dimensions, budget and similar information you choose to share).
  • Uploaded files, images, sketches, photographs or reference material you upload to help us understand and quote your project.
  • Account information, if you create an account, the credentials and profile details needed to manage your enquiry and access your customer portal.
  • Messages, the content of messages and correspondence you send us through the site.
  • Payment information, where a deposit is taken, payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details on our systems.
  • Technical and usage data , basic information collected automatically through cookies and analytics tools where these are enabled (see below).

Why we use your data and our lawful bases

Under UK GDPR we must have a lawful basis for processing your personal data. We rely on the following:

  • Consent, for example, where you submit an enquiry, upload files, or where optional analytics and marketing cookies are used.
  • Contract, to respond to your request for a quote, take a deposit, and carry out and deliver a commissioned piece.
  • Legitimate interests, to run, secure and improve our business and website, respond to messages, and keep records, provided this is not overridden by your rights.

Third-party processors we use

We use trusted third-party service providers to run our website and business. Each processes personal data only as needed to provide their service to us:

  • Supabase, database, authentication and file storage.
  • Netlify, website hosting.
  • Stripe, secure payment processing for deposits.
  • Resend, sending transactional emails (such as enquiry confirmations).
  • Google Analytics & Meta Pixel , website analytics and advertising, where enabled.

International transfers

Some of our providers may store or process data outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision recognised under UK data protection law.

How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, for example, to handle your enquiry, fulfil an order, meet our legal and accounting obligations, and resolve any disputes. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

Your rights under UK GDPR

You have a number of rights over your personal data, including the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request erasure of your data in certain circumstances;
  • object to, or restrict, certain processing;
